Meaning Of The Ring Of Light (Halo) Used In Religious Art

The ring of light that we see in pictures, on or around the heads of divine beings is the light of a soul that operates without the ego. 

A soul that remains light because it lives spirituality and has no heavy conditioning of the ego.  

For it is ego that dims our light because it covers it with the darker layers of Karma. Karma that’s rooted in unconscious behaviour, which results from the ego. 

Ego, which makes us forget our spirituality, our own inherent divinity.
